Your voice recordings are stored securely and only shared with users you match with or choose to interact with. We do not sell or share your voice data with third parties for marketing purposes. You can delete your recordings at any time.
We share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Other Users: Your profile information and voice recordings are visible to users you match with
- Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate (hosting and infrastructure)
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
We never sell your personal information to third parties.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data. This includes encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
You have the right to:
- Access and download your personal data
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Object to processing of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile information and voice recordings within 30 days. Some data may be retained for legal or security purposes.
We use only essential cookies necessary for the service to function:
- Session cookies: Maintain your authenticated session so you remain logged in
- Preference cookies: Remember UI state such as sidebar layout
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser, however disabling cookies will prevent you from signing in.
Timbre.Love is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
We process your personal data on the following lawful bases:
- Contract: Processing necessary to provide the service you have signed up for
- Consent: Where you have explicitly agreed (e.g., accepting these terms at sign-up)
- Legitimate interests: Safety, fraud prevention, and service improvement
- Legal obligation: Where required by law
Voice recordings may constitute biometric data under applicable law. By uploading voice clips, you explicitly consent to the collection and processing of this data for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw consent and delete your voice data at any time from your profile settings. We do not use voice data for biometric identification or share it with third parties for any purpose other than displaying it to your matches.
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and relevant authorities (including the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner) within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, where feasible.
To exercise your data rights:
- Download your data: Settings → "Download My Data"
- Delete your account: Settings → "Delete Account"
- Correct your data: Update your profile directly

We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
Where applicable, we comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). If you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with the APPs, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
